Difference between Extract and Powder

For someone who is not familiar with Chaga, it can be difficult to see the difference, so you can easily be misled.

Chaga Extract:

The production process involves extracting under vacuum, dehumidifying and freeze drying, as a result of which the phytonutrients in the Chaga on remain damaged and are concentrated to the end product (extract). Extract is highly concentrated with biologically active healthy substances, especially with Chromogenis Complex (antioxidants). To make 1 kilo of Extract, approximately 8 kilos of raw Chaga is needed. Nothing is added to it.

Chaga powder:

Chaga powder is a solely pulverized Chaga Mushroom. You have to make it as tea with a preparation time of about three quarters of an hour, otherwise, it has no effect at all. Chaga powder is a lot cheaper than an Extract. If there is something like ” powder” on the label, it does not mean that it is “extract”. If you are looking for extract, please note that this is explicitly stated on the packaging, otherwise it is just dried Chaga powder.

Usage of Chaga Extract:

Add approximately half teaspoo of Chaga into a cup and pour on hot water. Mix for a while and the Chaga Tea drink is ready! You can aslo easily add it to your smoothie, yogurt or muesli.
